Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to some of the most common questions about using EverestSIM and getting connected with your eSIM.
An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you connect to a mobile network without needing a physical SIM card. Simply choose your destination, purchase a plan, scan the QR code we send you, and activate the eSIM on your phone, tablet or some laptops in minutes.
EverestSIM works with most newer smartphones that support eSIM, including recent Apple, Samsung, Google and other major brands. Your device must also be carrier unlocked. To check compatibility, look in your phone settings for options such as “Add eSIM”, “Add Mobile Plan” or “SIM Manager”. On some devices, you can also dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, your device likely supports eSIM.
We recommend installing your eSIM before you travel while you still have a stable internet connection. Your plan will only begin once you arrive at your destination and your device connects to a supported local network.
Once you arrive at your destination, turn off your primary SIM line and switch your mobile data to your EverestSIM eSIM line. Make sure the eSIM line is turned on and, if required, enable Data Roaming for the eSIM line only. Your phone should then automatically connect to a supported local network.
